Advocacy is a partnership
between two people; the Partner, a person with a learning disability who
maybe lonely, ignored and excluded from the mainstream of life, and the Citizen
Advocate, someone without conflict of interest, who builds a long term
relationship and helps break down the barriers to a full and satisfying life.
Witham Citizen Advocacy is a
local voluntary organisation that recruits, prepares and supports advocates for
people with learning disabilities in Essex.
